Position Summary:

Delta Designs Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Drafter / Designer to join our team. This role involves designing storage solutions for a variety of projects, from small-scale to large complex projects.

The question here is: what needs to be stored, what is the load, what are the conditions for good storage (dust, moisture, vibration, ...) and how can I, with our products (which you put together from hundreds of possibilities), use the space as efficiently as possible and fully meet the customer needs. You could think of the position as a technical architect who develops the best storage method with the thousands of product components we have (or new design and make). You create this design based on global instructions from our sales force. Then you make a calculation and the corresponding quotation based on the design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design custom storage solutions based on customer requirements and project specifications
  • Evaluate storage needs, load capacities, and conditions for optimal storage (e.g., dust, moisture, vibration)
  • Utilize AutoCAD or Inventor to create detailed designs
  • Coordinate with sales team and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and client satisfaction
  • Develop calculations and quotations based on designs
  • Contribute to design review meetings and provide insights for improvement

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Associate + experience or bachelor education in (mechanical) Engineering or similar
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Inventor, spacial insight
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple groups
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail and good judgement
  • Initiative to contribute to design review meetings

How to Apply:

Please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you are a good fit for this role to HR (Cynthia.bergen@bruynzeel.org)
